because of the tax-minimising schemes of multinationals such as Apple, Facebook and Amazon.

Evil, dastardly companies. What have they ever done for anyone, besides offer great products and services (alright, except for Facebook) and new jobs for the 21st century?

Things would be just fine if corporate tax didn't exist, and governments didn't spend money that they don't have on buying people's votes, to compensate for the loss of revenues.

Where are all the anti-Taxers from the other day, who whined about paying their American taxes.

Crickets.

@fxgai not sure if your being sarcastic or not? so well just abolish corporate tax and make the small guy pay the differance. So what if they make jobs, they should be grateful people will buy there products and pick up the tax bill they avoid. Apple made around £37billion profit worldwide, in the UK they sold around £2billion of product/services by funneling money to various countries the £400million that should have been been charged, they actually only paid just £11.8million!. Google Facebook , all these big companies had similar tax arrangements. many call it capitalism but its still morally bankrupt.

Yes I was being sarcastic.

I'm not suggesting the small guy pay the difference, I'm suggesting that politicians get less money to spend.

In return for no corporate tax and less government spending, the 'small' guys get better jobs, products and services.

A good job is a social good all in itself. It doesn't suddenly become good only after governments start taxing businesses for creating them.

Income taxes on corporates are also a silly way of collecting tax revenue. When the economy tanks, so does the income tax revenue. But do the politicians stop spending money when that happens?
