    The banks, who are the major shareholders and loan arrangers of Olympus, increase their power here, while at the same time ensuring no-one will look too closely at the misdeeds of their previous executives; after all, they've resigned now.

    Shame that they didn't stick with the only guy who seemed to have a clue... But I guess that just would have been too much for Japan to accept after everything.

    Three current board members, including Sasa, were nominated to lead the company, while six other outside directors were also appointed to the task of rebuilding the under-fire camera and medical equipment maker.

    So everyone got a job back. That is such bad punishment.
