Re-opens with different name, a la Megmilk. Maybe then can get a contract supplying JAL: "Coffee, tea, or half-eaten diner, maam?"

Following 'scandals'? Huh? How about "After being found out to be pathetically greedy and unconcerned about their customers' well-being."?

Snow Brand is the English name for Yukijirushi and Megmilk is the new brand, though I do not know the name of the company (or if it indeed changed).

One would think that Kitcho would have learned from Yukijirushi's experience (a former blue chip company in Japan) and respect their customers.

Now that these creeps are going out of business it is fair to ask whether they were the exception or the rule? Just how widespread is this sort of abuse in Japan?

I think it is wide spread in Japan but many would be too afraid to report their employer to the authorities.
