well - like - yeah - who wants to eat left over food at really high prices????? good riddance to companies that treat people worse than animals.

Re-opens with different name, a la Megmilk. Maybe then can get a contract supplying JAL: "Coffee, tea, or half-eaten diner, maam?"

Following 'scandals'? Huh? How about "After being found out to be pathetically greedy and unconcerned about their customers' well-being."?

Snow Brand is the English name for Yukijirushi and Megmilk is the new brand, though I do not know the name of the company (or if it indeed changed).
One would think that Kitcho would have learned from Yukijirushi's experience (a former blue chip company in Japan) and respect their customers.

alright, who gets to take the blame for this one and off themselves? The Sous chef?
jeancolmar at 11:21 PM JST - 28th May
Now that these creeps are going out of business it is fair to ask whether they were the exception or the rule? Just how widespread is this sort of abuse in Japan?
Everton2 at 07:06 AM JST - 29th May
I think it is wide spread in Japan but many would be too afraid to report their employer to the authorities.
