Otsuka Pharmaceutical takes 49% stake in French bottled water firm
TOKYO —
Food and drug company Otsuka Pharmaceutical said on Wednesday it agreed to take a 49% stake in French mineral water bottler Alma Group for 750 million euros.
Otsuka said it hoped to expand its sales in Europe through the deal, which was concluded on Monday. It aims to continue its global expansion with the new partnership with Alma, gaining access to the French firm’s network of production, distribution and sales hubs in Europe.
In the United States, Otsuka has enjoyed success with its bottled water subsidiary Crystal Geyser Water Co.

Crazy, absolutely crazy. Now we can definitely expect bottled water to have chemicals and drugs in them. Nothing in this world will be natural, pre or healthy. Drugs that keep you sick to keep you taking drugs.
