NAGOYA —
Panasonic EV Energy Co, which makes batteries for gasoline-electric hybrid cars, has resumed hiring of seasonal workers for the first time in about six months, employing about 100 such workers, company sources said Monday.
The company, a joint venture of Toyota Motor Corp and Panasonic Corp, has turned to temporary workers as it is boosting production of nickel-metal hydride batteries for Toyota’s fully remodeled Prius hybrid model, the sources said.
