    If I calculated correctly, Panasonic is paying 27.8 times (March, 2008) earnings, or 2.5 times annual sales for Sanyo. Sanyo gets 63% of its sales from outside Japan.

    Panasonic and Sanyo unite,that is better than to compete with each other in slowdown times, good for Sanyo/Panasonic . Both companies need to maintain exports and weather slowdown conditions together.

    More companies should follow Sanyo and Panasonic way of uniting,which is better than competing in slowdown periods.
