Rosy headline and thorny contents ! "You can complain because roses have thorns, or you can rejoice because thorns have roses " - Ziggy.

Retail up 4 percent(Nikkei at 11K) via boom in China and elsewhere, for japan's tech products.
It is very good news, but air pollution thorn and other enviro pollution thorn also on rise.
Japan should produce more anti-pollution tech products, to fight the pollution woes too.

So which is it ?
"Japan’s retail sales jumped for the second straight month in February"
"Large-scale retailers, which includes supermarkets and department stores, did not fare as well. Sales fell 4%"
And why include "energy" costs in the first group ? Paying for heat and electricity is hardly a retail sales item ! Looks like more fuzzy math coming out of Japan.

Branded, are you actually familiar with the meaning of "retail"? It also applies to public utilities like electricity, gas, water, sewage, telephone services etc. Looks like it's not that fuzzy after all...right.
