Sasaki, Kimura awarded 'Stevie Awards for Women in Business'

TOKYO —

Entrepreneur Kaori Sasaki and essayist-dye researcher Taka Kimura were on Monday awarded “Stevie Awards for Women in Business” in Tokyo. The awards were introduced in Japan for the first time this year, according to the organizer. The Stevie Awards were created to honor women who generate public recognition of their achievements and positive contributions of organizations and business people worldwide.

Kaori Sasaki, CEO of ewoman Inc, was awarded the prize for her contribution to business targeting working women, while Taka Kimura was praised for her contribution to improvement of the recognition of traditional Japanese textile dyes through an exhibition in New York and London, as well as her essays.

    However, the missing part is a photo of them, standing in front of a panel bearing lots of sponsor logos, situated in a posh central Tokyo hotel, gushing over their "award"
