Some travel agencies cancel tours to France after attacks

Now is not the time to cancel, now is time to show the terrorists we will go on as normal - support France!

that is their prerogative. not sure how travelling to France to possibly get shot or blown up is "supporting" France. won't maker a blind bit of difference to ISIS or the other fanatics,,,,,,

Especially when French prime minister just announced officially that everyone need to be ready for other terrorist aftershocks. Heavy treatment to kill as many sources under way. Support by asking implementation to law and report of anti-republic behavior.

Why? Support France by goin to France.... Its the safest time to go.

Anyways, I'm considering it if it's cheaper to go now. It's not high on my list of places to visit (fairly low actually), but if now is a cheaper time than it's ever going to be at any other time, then why not go now! I sent my wife a mail earlier telling her to look into ticket prices.

Weak, just makes Japan look like an easy target to give in. The operators should have given the people the choice to cancel not do it for them.

Exactly! Exact same thing often happens when there's a big incident in some country that Japanese often fly to on package tours. I remember after the Bali night club bombing tickets from Japan became dirt cheap because everyone cancelled. It's worth looking into if for nothing else than to see how tourism is/will be affected. I personally would not cancel a trip for this reason unless the ports were closed, but I guess people are free to do what they want. You're FAR more likely to experience a natural disaster here at any given time than you are likely to be in the center of another attack in France at the moment.

How about Kinki Nippon Tourist ? Or KNT as it is known now? Paris is one of their most popular destinations.

With a French bombing campaign being ratcheted up against Muslims and thousands of Muslims living in France then you are walking into danger....by all means buy that cheap ticket though!

All said and done, one thing is for sure, that the world is not making concerted effort to curb this menace-terrorism. This is becoming, by and by, a global threat. We cannot succeed by mere talk. How can African countries that have greatly fallen prey to the menace overcome it unless assisted by developed countries, scincerely speaking?

I remember a couple Japanese friends who visited NY after 9/11. They said the airfare / Hotel was way cheap. Their logic for visiting NY was same as Speed's post, safe time to go.

So for some point of view this is the best time to going a country when they was bombed? I see for some will take pictures the places people was just killed 3 days ago? Or maybe took pictures of the places bombed? Not going there due to the terrorist attacks is succumbing to terror - and the terrorists win.

They've reopened the Louvre, etc., today, but Hollande's proposed to parliament a law extending state of emergency for 3 months.

Don't be afraid of cowards and do not let them control your life. Just take extra care if traveling to France and stay alert and remain vigilant in the coming days. Perhaps there is maybe a silver lining in all of this painful ordeal. It is bringing people closer and more solid for one cause and belief with humanity. Stay strong France!

@Novenachama I'm wondering something about your comment and please share your thoughts how you can take extra care if you don't know the person next to you have bomb belt in their chest? Or how you can have extra care if the person next to you have a explosive backpack. You think the people die in this terrorist attacks had any idea those who have bomb belts in their chest?
