This is the start of best news for SONY. I hope SONY's Japanese headquarters will convince their retired former executives who contributed to Sony's glorious days before 2008 beginnings of profit draining streak.

No doubt she is well-deserving, but, at this point, this is likely just re-arranging the deck chairs. The entertainment group cannot possibly make enough money to offset the drag caused by the refusal of the Japanese management to shed the TV business, and make other long-overdue changes in their electronics companies. But I wish her good luck none the less, as it may mean that we continue to get quality movie and TV products here in the states.

In USA. Sony TV business no longer means TV sales. What Sony did in USA is that it concentrated in movies, TV series and music business for TBs. Somehow Sony obtained right to televise reruns of old series. At the end of show credits, about every TV series 3 large full screen displays --- SONY , then 2nde line PICTURES, bottom line, ENTERTAINMENT, there were other types of displays to indicate SONY in many other shows, too. It even got right for Wheel of Fortune that is televised from a mega Vegas Casino entertainment studio. Music? CBS Sony music. Tjem Sony Columbia. It is very successful in USA.
