I have no pity for sony, they spend all their money on image and corporate salaries and nothing on R&D or engineering then wonder why they get hacked.

The sun has set on Sony. Now it is time for Apple to bask in the sun.

I dunno, CactusJack. I have a MBP and a Sony Vaio with similar capabilities and more or less the same price and the Vaio is nice! Does what the MBP does and more and is both lighter and keeps much cooler. Sony still knows how to build stuff, just wish it weren't so expensive!

See ya SONY!!! It was a good run. Apple is back on top. If you're in the red why don't you sell back some of those movie studios back to Hollywood and stay away from our comic book characters.

...net loss of 260 billion yen due mainly to the effects of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami.

That's a relief. For a minute I thought they would blame the hackers of the PlayStation Network as the cause of their financial woes.

hackers didn't help. I usually support hackers becuase 95% of the time they participate in mostly legal activities like hacking the Microsoft kinect and making our web SAFER, and most importantly the open source movement (trust me no hackers equals NO android OS or FireFox)! to be a good programmer you have to know rudimentary hacking skills. Even though I like my 360 WAY more than my PS3, if I ever met the hackers who hacked sony this last time I would gladly see if I fit a ps3 controller up their $$$. and to do it just weeks after the earthquake. IMO they are in the same category as Taliban scum.

Numbers sound just like the number of accounts hacked. Kind of odd.

sony is losing loyalty of customers as high price and less user freindly.

Here is one reason for the SONY downfall: Notebook PC drivers. Let's say you formatted your VAIO notebook and installed Windows again...and you can't find your VAIO drivers CD. So you go online to get them...and guess what...you have to pay SONY around 1000 yen for them to send you a new driver CD. You cannot download the drivers from their site.
