Sell it to who? For how much?
If you buy something from someone, it isn't fair to ask them to sell it back to them at a cheaper price.

Suzuki are going about this wrong, they should be sueing for breach of contract or agreements rather than trying to get their shares back. If they can prove that VW is not doing what they were told to do then they might have a shot at getting their shares back. It sounds like it to me that Suzuki didn't do the correct paperwork.

I guess the purpose of the aggression is to hide Suzuki's own shortcomings. Hopefully, an independent panel can find out the truth and mediate a fair end of the deal. But maybe Suzuki is wary of an "independent panel". They have seen in the Olympus case what kind of things come to light when an outsider is involved...

If Volkswagen is not offering an access to Suzuki for technology development andalliance, then Volkswagen is breaching the contract as they were agreed to do so.. Suzuki needs to show solid proof (documents) convincing the arbitrator. Hope Suzuki has a tactiful legal team.
