Wow, that's a big number. No slap on the wrist like they would likely get in Japan.

How many of these (6) fatalities where in Canada? ==> 0.

While this has been going on Jeeps have been exploding into fireballs from rear end collisions. Why has Jeep not been put up for criminal charges? Say one today the the bloody tank is exposed to the rear. Over fifty people have burned to death.
As for the airbags the USA will prosecute under the full extent of the law. Is the only reason this gets attention is it is a Japanese company? How about GM and all they killed? Why do they get limited press attention?
As for Canada have they moved on GM and Jeep?

Because class-action lawsuit is a civil suit brought on by civilian plaintiffs, not a criminal court brought on by the state authorities.
It's up to civilian plaintiffs to move on to GM and Jeep, not the Canadian state.
