The race for making money at all costs. What about reversing this role, to take into to account the moral and ethical responsibilities of these major corporations, because in the long haul, a happy and secure workforce benefits these corporations. How much profit do they need ????

    minello7,

Could also ask do the employees and unions need to continually put in ridiculous wage claims for higher and higher wages in effect pricing themselves out of the market. It was interesting when this was announced yesterday the union boss came out with a classic statement of why can car manufacturers in other countries manage to make cars cheaper than in Australia. Well it doesnt take a genius to work out that when unions and employees demand higher and higher wages even when the company warns them of the risks. Afterall only a few months back these same employees demanded and went on strike for increased wages despite the fact they where warned this could happen. You reap what you sow and their greed is coming back to bite them big time.

Cletus,my mistake, for not including the workers role in their own demise. It seems its just a human weakness , greed. As for the unions, well they have just forgotten what role they are expected to play in this circus.
