Japan still produces the best vehicles. They produce them in the U.S. and are still higher quality than GM and Ford. I've never been able to figure this out.

It does not matter where you produce your product, nor would most educated consumers really care. If your manufacturing process is sound, the material is of the best quality, and your personnel are proud of their craft, the quality of the item built will be unquestionable. The only question is how much are you willing to pay for the quality.

Look for Toyota to destroy itself!!!! Being number 1 wth quality wasn't enough for Toyota management!!!! Not good enough at all--they had to have the biggest market share!! They have opened too many plants at the worst time and now QUALITY will suffer as the brilliant managers begin to economize. Watch Toyota go from one of the best companies in the world to a something on par with Mitsubishi or a Japanese food producer.

"I've never been able to figure this out"
Neither have GM, Ford or Chrysler.
"Look for Toyota to destroy itself"
I doubt we're going to see that.
