It most likely won't, but if Toyota came crashing down it would be a catastrophe for the area, particularly Aichi prefecture. The economic aftershock would be immense, probably more than anyone realizes.

For many Japanese, Toyota is a source of pride because of the legend of its success

Sadly Japanese people do not take pride in what they are personally, but are in dire need to lent their self confidence from a company. With so many companies loosing their luster the public confidence is on the decline.

Soon we might hear the statement of my American friends "We can not even properly educate our children, nor built a decent car, but we still can bomb the shit out of the whole world".

Maybe later is an indication why we see a tendency in the public for an independent Japan with its own military.
