    I'm not surprised by this. The government and corporations control the media in Japan. That's why this is not an issue in Japan. The media is treating this as a foreign problem.

    That's a great point some14some... I didn't think about that. I also see a lot of Prius taxis so a large number of sales probably come from huge discounts given to companies and the govt agencies...

    it proves it is stupid not to buy japanese car.

    It's possible with a six month backlog of orders and less cancellations due to the huge discounts.

    All Car Companies should have came forward with a full disclosures of what car were dangerous. Instead of waiting for a huge media blitz and tons of public pressure. I never seen so many car companies GM - NISSAN - TOYOTA - HYUNDAI having recalls all at the same time. I had no idea my car was affected until I looked on http://www.carpedalrecall.com and found I had a bad Anti Lock control unit on my 2008 Pontiac G8 , my co workers Ford Truck had a recall also. So be careful
