Brake override technology automatically cuts the throttle when the brake and gas pedals are pressed at the same time.

Besides making things overcomplicated, it is going to take a massive change in thinking and total belief in the system to press an accelerator pedal, with the brake when you want to stop quickly. A real act of faith...

Now maybe they will be able to consider making a come-back into F1. Perhaps a deal with HRT?

Not really. You're just supposed to press the brake. The brake override cuts the throttle even if you press both by mistake.
