I never liked a two door hatchback car. It is not comfortable at all. I am amazed they still manufacture this.

Globalwatcher, the Auris comes as a three and five door hatch in Europe. Its alright, if a bit boring.

We need jobs right? If Toyota can bring more work to the UK, should we care if this car is boring? Cool?

Of course we should. If the cars boring, its not going to sell well. Good design sells and that equals more jobs.

Sure Toni but if the people do not have $$$ and they do not have to worry about the car having a nice design more like worrying about say having your fish and chips and beer, if you have any $$$ right? Now Europe is in a horrible economic situation or is this just propaganda from CNN??

People can afford their fish and chips, they even seem to be managing a beer or two. As for cars, they seem to be selling too. The biggest sellers go into fleets where the requirement is great value. In this case it means good design includes economy, facilities, looks and retained value. When times are hard manufactures must provide a little extra. Well have to wait and see what the new Auris offers over the old model.
