Toyota to start limited sales of 'Avensis' station wagon in Japan

Toyota Motor Corp said it plans to start limited sales of the Europe-produced Avensis station wagon in the Japanese market to meet the diversified needs of Japanese consumers. Nationwide sales are planned to start on September 19.

Since its 1997 launch in Europe, the Avensis has developed an exceptional reputation as a Toyota-brand, European vehicle for its cruising performance, powerful design and quiet ride.

To meet the needs of Japanese car buyers who prefer European styling, Toyota Motor Manufacturing (UK) Ltd will produce the model from July through October for sales in Japan.

The Avensis, now in its third generation, features luxurious styling, a comfortable interior, plenty of cargo space and provides powerful and smooth cruising even on extremely uneven road surfaces and winding roads.

Thanks to presto345 I found a picture of it :) It's not really a station wagon, it's more like a hatchback.
