Good point some.
I seem to remember that Australia's Macquarie group was interested in buying into some of Japan's airports. Macquarie has such assets around the globe. Anyway, the xenophobes of Japan came out of the woodwork and started this whole debate (or not). Anyway, given the current economic situation, I don't see Macquarie being to quick to come back to Japan and consider such assets. Then again, if the economic picture picks up, this whole issue will be reconsidered. Let's face it, the aim of the protectionist forces in Japan is to give lip service to open investment policies while keeping the door solidly shut.
