    The country already has poor enough water conditions (lack of stable sources and pollution from other mining activities) without adding pollution from this project. Sure they'll get a good deal of money, but all at the expense of people outside the political corruption circles.

    But of course, people don't really care about increasing deaths elsewhere (and at home) as long as they can sleep well at night knowing the boogieman isn't under their bed (and completely ignoring the crazy next door neighbor hiding in their closet with a knife in hand)
