Nothing short of massive wealth redistribution can adequately support the 99% in all developed countries.

You kill the unions, you enslave the people.

Buried in the depths of the article is the key point:

The market is not as tight as the official jobless rate suggests. The official jobless numbers do not include the rise of people stuck in temporary jobs and those who have dropped out of the jobs market in discouragement.

Guess the people downvoting believe that we are going educate our way to finding good jobs for 7 billion of us. Or that 7 billion people can't cause a lot of damage in their anger. Good luck with that.

what I see is that profit margins have shrunk and shrunk until you are about just surviving and keeping your business going, so giving workers more money is not possible, like most companies were are having to compete with China, yes they are taking on workers to fill orders, we are dealing in the global markets and probarly home markets, things are price sensitive, so just ramping up the price could cost you a contract, then you loose everything. until people have trust in the markets things will stay stagnant for a few more years to come, once the confidence comes back, may be things will start to move forward.
