Why is the Yen weakens suddenly? Does it mean that the carry trade is beginning to happen again? if so, does it mean that there is some other country's interest rate is,probably slightly higher or has risen to cause carry trade to happen?

I think the Japanese goverment is buying dollars and selling yen. This will work for a short term.

the Yen has weakened suddenly possibly because the Japanese government has been talking about using quantitative easing policies to help cash flow in the domestic economy..this results in more government debt which generally diminishes the perception of the currencies safety and thus causes it to be sold. However life is never that simple and there are a mirriad other influences on currencies. There has been talk of the carry trade starting over again, and also foreign investors are selling Japanese holdings last month 60 billion dollars of assets flowed out of Japan(net). There may be an outside chance of a devaluation of the yen as an emergency measure to shore up employment in Japan as the economy is heavily export dependent. But only time will tell where the yen will go.. up or down you may as well toss a coin (not a 1 yen coin they are way too fiddly)

When it's around 1-100 things are normal. Not that the economic problems are normal but the abnormally strong yen was making matters much worse.
