Someone get Fox News to write this silly little piece of fluff?
dracpoo2 at 03:47 PM JST - 5th October
@mtimjones In addition, the US is a country that thinks more of itself than the world does. Not everyone is awestruck by our

Obama's failed campaign in Denmark shows once again his lack of experience in the real business world. A person nurtured in an affirmative-action environment where things are handed to you because of your ethnic status would not know that to get business done you have to offer a product or service that is focused on the benefits to the customer. But in Obama's world of Chicago pay-to-play politics, business gets done by clearing the field your competitors. Selling anything is never a requirement.
Which explains a lot as to the embarrassing first round knockout. When you read his prepared speech, Obama's was all about selling the Obama brand, not U-S-A.
To his credit, Obama had an uphill fight on his hands before arriving in Denmark. How could he, after travelling around the globe calling America a cancer on the world, possibly sell our country to the IOC with a straight face?
Hehehohohaha at 07:34 PM JST - 5th October
And don't forget the other two failed bids. What does Tokyo know about business. And who is Madrid? It is a mystery how Rio won since everyone knows Brazil is a socialist country and a bunch of know-nothings about business.
Oh yeah RomeoRamenII the Chicago bid failed because of Obama since we all know the other three cities are losers to begin with.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but not everything is about Obama. There are other people in the world who are just as talented. I know you are disappointed and need to find someone to blame, but why not congratulate Rio on their successful bid and accept it. Growing up is hard to do, but you can do it.

What does Tokyo know about business. And who is Madrid?
Was Tokyo or Madrid mentioned in this article?
Checking, checking .... nope.
not everything is about Obama
Heh, don't tell that to the Obama's.
Instead of selling the IOC on the positives of holding the games in America (yes, yes, I realize it would take an out-of-body experience for either Obama to say something nice about the U.S.), they were the focus of their sales pitches to the IOC. Track down and read or watch their Copenhagen speeches and you'll realize that the theme of both their presentations was: Hold the Olympics in Chicago because we are from there.
The IOC got a whiff of the arrogant stench that surrounds the Obama's and voted accordingly.

Once again the angry whiners of the rightwing republican party win (in their minds) and America loses. If they love Brazil so much they should just move there and help the country build the stadiums and other venues that Chicago already has in place. But no, just as with the war they are chickenhawks now with the Olympics they will be chicken medalists.
Hehehohohaha at 06:00 AM JST - 6th October
ahhh RomeoRamenII most people who spoke talked about themselves and their personal stake in the Olympics coming to their city. This is not all about Obama. He is not god and he cannot succeed at everything, so relax, get a grip. As for the "arrogant stench" at the IOC meeting ... how old are you? That stench is part of everything the IOC touches, most adults know that.

@dracpoo2
No, that was the Bush Administration....
The U.S. gives out more economic aid than almost all other nations, combined, not even including donations from individual charities...
If you haven't already noticed 99.9% of the losers that post to this site, (including yourself) are anti-american... They don't know how or why... but they have been indoctrinated to hate American, because they have nothing better to do.... probably greater 50% of Japanese population has never had any contact with actual americans, yet, they have been taught to by their elders to hate ALL foreigners...
If you've lived in Japan for any period of time and ventured outside your home, you would know this to be the case...
If you want to talk about how terrible and illegal of a war the Iraq invasion was, YES you are correct, That was George dubya... But America isn't George Dubya...

Come on, doesn't everyone want to run a marathon in mosquito infested slums while it's insanely hot and humid outside? I would not want to be a track athlete in Rio! Of course Chicago is not much better in the summer. The games have never been to South America, and I'm quite certain that's most of the reason that Rio got picked, though it seems a very illogical choice to me. The IOC are obviously as corrupt as the UN.
seijichuudo9sha at 06:32 PM JST - 6th October
Chicago was selected as a finalist for the 2016 games summer of 2008, when bush was still president. I cant believe Obama's personal story didn't move the judges of teh IOC.
Sarge at 06:42 PM JST - 6th October
"I cant belive Obama's personal story didn't move the judges"
Incredible, isn't it?

It doesn't matter what Obama does, the rules have never changed. An African American, has to be an honor graduate from Harvard to even be considered for the same job as caucasian with a C average. This is the double standard that society has always placed on people of color. Obama could solve health care, end both wars, fix the world economic crisis and still some would complain he didn't do enough. Meanwhile a caucasian could start 2 wars, completely rob the treasury making himself and his cronies richer than they already were, cost the nation thousands of young lives, cause a world economic crisis that is still affecting millions of people worldwide, and be dumber than donkey shiznit and still be considered adorable by some. Chicago losing is just one more stone to throw at Obama's glass house. There are just people who just want to see him fail so they can say "see we shouldn't have hired the black guy". Chicago losing is not Obama's fault but there are those who will try their best to make it about him.
I think Hehehohohaha said it best:
RomeoRamenII at 04:16 PM JST - 7th October
I'm shocked, I tells ya. ;-) Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin will pay for this snub of the Obama's by the IOC.
Badsey at 04:55 AM JST - 8th October
Does this mean the sky is falling? Has our god failed US?
ninjohitokiri at 10:41 AM JST - 8th October
In my opinion, obama should not have come. michelle or the vice would have been enough. brazil had a pretty good chance of hosting the games anyway. obama should give his eloquence a rest and concentrate on the national issues at hand, foreign policy second.
