For Obama, race means repeated distractions

The reasons Obama's numbers are slipping in the polls have nothing to do with being distracted by race issues, despite how much the left leaning liberal media would hope to think.

Recent polls indicate the majority of the population isn't confident in Obama's decisions as president.

You can equate the alleged racists slogans from the fringe of the tea party to those blatantly spouted by the NAACP as morally equivalent all you want, but it won't help Obama one bit.

Any defense attorney knows if you don't have a case, play the race card.

This is what the media seems to be doing to distract the public from the simple fact that Obama doesn't have a clue, and more and more people are starting to realize this.

For Obama, race means repeated distractions

Actually, it seems more like the media are trying to use race to distract the public from Obama's failings.

(Full disclosure: I voted for the guy and believed he could really do some of the things he said he would do. He and the Democrats have proved to be (to speak in the vernacular) just a bunch of pussies. They don't have the guts to stand up and follow though on the policy positions that got him elected. Big disappointment.)

He's failing due to his policies, He caters to Jessie Jackson and the black community. Reverse descrimination is alive and well in America. He refuses to do anything about imagration and mass trasit problems. It's becoming clear that our ferderal government is truly run by an entity government that remains in the dark. Look at NAFTA, imagration and other large issues and how they were voted on. The decicion, to allow the flood of imagration for the purpose of lowering the average wage of the American worker in order to make us globaly competative, was made by this entity government. He is nothing more than a puppet with limited power.

Reverse descrimination is alive and well in America.? />

This IS and will ALWAYS BE the dumbest statement in the world. Give me an example of 'reverse' discrimination and I'll show you a flying ass. This is one of the problems with race relations in the U.S.. Bigoted people still think statements like these make sense.

And if he IS catering to blacks, please tell me why they don't think so? His approval ratings are down due to the fact that he is still seen, by many, as a source of entertainment. He is being put under a crazy microscope and being ridiculed for not being able to accomplish everything perfectly. He never said he would, but so many people seem to think he did. Very few people give him any weight for his accomplishments, and most fret about things like the oil spill (which is stopped for now). Afghanistan which is an inherited war he planned to see through until it is deemed unwise to continue by the military leaders. And the economy which WILL NOT be fixed overnight or anytime soon (so reLAX!) People need to be realistic. They kept a fool in for 8 years based on B.S. Now they want to throw this guy out for more B.S. Well guess what the U.S. is going to look like in the future if people keep voting this way. You guessed it...B.S. I think the U.S. has been starting to smell for quite some time. We should be happy someone in White House actually wants to clean it up for a change. Help a brotha' out (as they would say).

So an article criticizing the Obama administration for mishandling an incident is an example of the "left-wing" media trying to distract the public. I guess that is why the well-known left-wing mouthpiece Fox News "jumped on the story" in the first place.

And the reaction to a case where a white American criminally libels and slanders a black American, and the black American gets fired as a result, becomes a sign that "reverse discrimination is alive and well in America"? While my heart bleeds for my poor, oppressed white American brothers, that leap of logic is a leap off a cliff.

nice post myke001. He still hasn't done enough (could be a color thing). He will need to do about 4 times as much as that to get the same respect as W.

One more reason why he still hasnt done anything.

How many more excuses is media going to make for Obama? Ignore petty bs items like this and do your job. This just fuels and adds sensationalism to racits.

Then the kooks with white sheets get on their boxes and the panthers get on theirs. Its dumb, just like racism is.

Curious, is racism still as big a deal in Europe as it is in America? Never lived in Europe so I dont know...but its time for people to put this passed them.

All people are different and its not just skin tone. Judging based on that is idiotic.

Obama could be white, blue pink or green, it still doesnt change the fact that he hasnt done cr@p...really? the PRESIDENT should waste his time on this???? plz. Stop the war you promised to stop, fix our economy like you said you would, and stop turning the US to socialism. Focus on those 3 and do them well and obama will be remembered as a great president...not the first black president. As of right now, he will only be remembered for his race.

I don't believe he is wasting time on this. Before you go saying he hasn't done anything, you should check your facts. This video may help you deal with reality. You should pass it on to those who think that he hasn't done "anything".

And regarding socialism; don't just repeat stuff you've heard. We have plenty of "socialist" aspects to our country and government and now you complain. That word doesn't scare people with common sense.

Checked my facts. 120 promises kept, 139 compromised, stalled or broken. 243 in the works. So if his time in office ended today, it would be a failure. Just keeping him accountable to what he asked to be accountable too.

And regarding socialism, i am not repeating what I heard. I know there are aspects of socialism in our country, but full blown gung ho 100%. The libs are letting too much of their freedoms go away because of mentalities like yours.

    "full blown gung ho 100%"...?

Laughable. Just keep up the crap talk. You sound like a child exaggerating like that. People like you predict the future incorrectly then keep trying to make points by predicting the future. It is not true just because you say it is.

What needs to happen is that big business needs to learn how to control itself, but it seems as though, for now, it needs temporary guidance or else IT will ruin this country and leave nothing for the rest to build upon (this could be a good thing, or not), but our government helps with the temporary regulation of matters like this. If you don't like it you should try and keep those big businesses out of politics. That is where the problems lie. Big business and its influence on Washington.

Sounds like 259 things he HAS done vs. 243 not yet finished and we're half way through. I don't know where you get these numbers, but I'll use them and say by your estimate, he HAS done crap and he will not fail at this rate.

Any competition can be called early. The real winner may not win at HALFTIME. It seems like anti-Obama people just keep calling in the results before it's over.

Didnt say its over yet. Just said if he ended today he would be remembered for his race and not his accomplishments. You say we will not fail at this rate. As of today, the gallup poll shows his approval at 45% and disapproval at 47%. Tell me one thing that will make that rise in the near future? Going by typical American High school standards 69% or below was an F...And you just keep laughing as we lose a little more freedom each and everyday as you turn your head and say oh you`re exaggerating.

Dont get me wrong, I am not a Bush supporter nor am I a republican. Obama is a failure, you all just seem to cut him a hell of a lot more slack than you would any other president....why is that?

  • 0

    MrDarryl

Not cutting him any more slack. I wanted Bush to do good things as well. He just didn't do as many. Now that Obama is ending combat in Iraq he has one more notch on his belt. I don't think he's been doing the best job at all, but I am always willing to give our president a chance. I never really criticized Bush for much except the fact that he led us into a seemingly unnecessary war that spent 100's of billions of taxpayer dollars and made America look dumb in the process by his misguided logic in numerous speeches and on many occasions. Even with that said I never thought he couldn't fix it and do the right thing, I hoped that he would. It seems like Obama is not making as many quick bonehead decisions about major policy. He is thoughtful and needs time because these are big issues and our economy is weak right now so we can't afford to make too many wrong moves. If you keep calling him a failure before the job is done you are not giving him any respect. Let's talk in 2 more years. 69% may be an F, but it isn't a horrible job approval rating for the president either. 30% of Americans said they would never vote him and 18% of those were because he's a black man. I don't think I give him too much slack with those kind of numbers against him from the start. Those guys are getting REAL vocal now too, and they really have little to say that they couldn't have said 8 years ago, but I didn't hear them as much then. Why is that?
