    Not sure how fast the author of this article turns pages but a Kindle turns just about as fast as a normal book. And the last time I checked, regular books are in grey scale as well

    Exactly. I couldn't believe the "pages are slow to turn" comment. They turn as fast as any book I've ever read.

    Purely for reading books - the Kindle and Amazon can not be beat.

    For a portable and powerful multi-function tablet - the Galaxy tab can not be beat. (word is though the Blackberry Playbook is a geniune contender - we will see)

    For a full sized tablet with a great range of news, e-learning, and magazine apps with interactive content and sweet graphics - the iPad has it's niche.

    problem with Kindle is you can only use books bought from Amazon. You can't use other sources or view pdf books that you may already have.
