If Japan wants to change policies, just make the changes in your own country like increase your welfare benefits for your poor, and get rid of freeway tows. There was change that happened in America's politics, like having the first black President, health care reform, and many other things. Japan is not going to get any equal role in America's foreign policy decisions because its not your country, and its ran and voted by American citizens and states. There will never be an equal voice regarding Japan in America's political affairs or power. Just respect the first black President, if Japan wants more equal power or similarities like America, start with adding anti-discrimination laws for foreigners and punitive damages, start enforcing broken contracts with your Kangaroos courts. Start giving foriengers equal Police protection rights, instead of being locked up based on a mere Japanese allegation of a crime, start having the Police take foreign Police reports, and making legitimate arrest when Japanese do crimes against foreigners. Just make the changes in Japan own laws, don't worry about America's change. Will see how that goes first.
