Killing the children and then herself. What has gone wrong? Or what has the husband done wrong...? It's becoming a common story in Japan these days. What could we do to help this society?

    Rest in peace little ones.

"No mother. = No life." This is the prevailing train of thought for most mothers in this country. It's an obvious social issue but noone is taking any action to discourage it.

It is very sad. At least they had 12 and 10 years of life. It can be good years.

R.I.P, kids. i wonder what the reason is/was

I agree it's very sad. How can these women keep doing this to the children of a country that already has a shortage of children. I can understand if you want to take yourself out of this world, but to take the choice from one that want live is horrible especially when its the hand that your trust more than any other person in the entire world. I would like to think that someone broke in and did this and kidnapped the mother then to imagine yet another mother taking the lives of her children. Because of a medical condition I couldn't have children and reading stuff like this makes me so angry!

Very sad the woman did not decide to kill her self before her children. Again, give your kids, nieces, and nephews, that extra hug every chance you get.

My reasoning for living here is based on the fact that I thought Japan was a relatively nice place to live with low crime/murder rates. Key points for raising a family. From reading all the news of late, I am beginning to see a different pattern emerge. The country is full of nut-jobs, however the atrocities have all been 'inside jobs' of late by parents who, well lack the ability to call themselves parents.

Grow up and start taking responsibility for your actions Japan. A suspended sentence is not adequate enough punishment for some of the crimes banding around of late. Hardly acts as a deterrent to wannabe a*seholes from committing horrid offences like this one here.

RIP kids. I would be mortified to find my own kids deceased on my return home.

At the crossing, a women died after being hit by an express train at around 7:10 p.m. Police have not yet identified the victim.

Additional victim - a traumatised train driver. :(

Extremely stressed and untreated psychosomatic illness can, in extremely few cases, allow people to make extremely poor and irrational decisions which result in utter loss. I think that was evidenced here. It's the legacy of being human. She probably killed her children so they wouldn't grow up motherless. A grossly perverted way to think, if indeed she thought that way, but not all that unlikely.

what had pushed these people to their limits.. i wonder.. social problem.. very serious i see.

Just kill yourself, don't stab your kids to death. I hope she burns in hell.

My theory is that mother killed both kids, but I'm not ruling out children’s father or perhaps even Mom’s possible boyfriend. Very strange tragedies Japan watch out. Now things are getting serious, and due to the economy in such situation there will be more and more of it. 'RIP' kids you know who the killer is.'

This gruesome murder is just a tip of an iceberg, a beginning of an avalanche that is about to hit this nation because of job losses and financial misery that these people aren't accustomed to. But then again, why take the frustration on innocent children who have just started living and then must end their short lives so abruptly in a horrifying death by their own "loving" mother....
