12-year-old boy assaulted by knife-wielding man in Osaka
It is just not that safe to walk around in public in Japan anymore. Ah, for the good ol` days of Safety Japan! I remember them well.

Yeah it's getting strange, in most countries you have to be watching out the hole time anyway but for being mugged or things like that not for being randomly stabbed.
What will you tell to the kids? If you see somebody walking in your direction, run away?

It's nightmare for all parents! Please ask your children to be very cautious outdoors, the society today is as dangerous as forest! we never heard wild life or dog ever feel free when some strangers passed by or even closed, so we also need to behave like that.

So what do we tell them to do while walking on the streets? Or even worse.. on a packed train!! O.o

It’s really surprising his kind of incident become a news in Osaka. I have a feeling Osaka become safer than 90s.

What is the typical "profile" of an attacker? Are the attackers usually young or middle-aged? Do they typically attack boys, girls, or both? What is the "pattern"?

Be afraid people! You never know where or when it's gonna come from! Keep your eyes open and your kids close!
...but not too close because "KIDS" can sometimes be the most dangerous of them all. As we have all seen and read.

Another random attack brought to you by your friendly neighborhood knife-wielding maniac. As I have said this sort of thing is an epidemic.
I dread the moment one these types gets on an international flight.

I like this one better than collateral attackers as I’ve seen many as personal provocations.

Hi, RMGTTF: there are too many abnormal people on the streets, parks, stations and no doubt on train/bus... probably someone will write a book " how to survive on earth ? " suggest u to buy one.

This is nothing compared to the massive increase in knife attacks in England.
Japan is still safe as houses.
