Where does he want to go then? Is he saying 'i am innocent'?

If you doesn't want to go to reformatory school then just send him to jail because I don't think home schooling is going to work here.

Wonder if he put on a little pouty look and stamped his foot when he said he didn’t want to go to reform school.

No way, this can't be true. A 14 year old boy APPEALS COURT DECISION. Does he want a re-trial ? Maybe the family court needs the bus driver to re testify what happened. He is very lucky to get an easy sentence. If he was in American judicial system they would have tried him as an adult for kiddnapping and sent him away for a life sentence.

Armed Kidnapping is a serious crime. He is a very lucky boy.

If the bus driver lost control of the bus, alot of lives would have been lost. He drove the bus during rush hour traffic. This boy is crazy and delusional.

So sad but at the same time schools must have a special class once a week at least on morals and reforming of children at high school to avoid such incidents in future. It will help get rid of so many social and family problems.

wasn't it the kid who wanted to embarrass his parents? You did a foolish thing, now you assume your act.

This kid is lucky there wasn't a serious accident resulting in death. He also kidnapped people. I agree with memyselfI, he is a very lucky boy, but he should still be severely punished for his stupidity in an attempt to prevent future over zealous lawless teenagers trying the same thing. There is way to much lawlessness in the teenage community of Japan and they need to start cracking down on them.

When I first read the story about the highjacking in July I though "here's another example of kid ruining his life by one stupid action". I don't know what his homelife was like, I don't know if he is a "good kid" who made one stupid mistake or a punk who is always in trouble. I just don't think there are many 14 year old kid that are beyond help. I haven't seen any transcripts from the trial but any time in reform school is a "reletively lnog time" for a 14 year old. Usually when they appeal a ruling in Japan they are looking for a shorter sentence. I just hope this boy (I repeat BOY) can be rehabilitated.

sorry, at 14 I knew what kidnapping and hijacking were. He maybe young enough to blame stupity or immaturity but he got a light sentence. accept it little boy at least you didn't get publically spanked, or maybe he should.., make his sentence longer that will help reform him in the understanding of what he did.

Not trying to make excuses for him, I would just like to grab these kids BEFORE they do something stupid and talk some sense into them.

Wish i was on that bus to teach him a lesson...
