17-year-old teen arrested for attempted murder of ex-girlfriend in Aichi

A 17-year-old high school student in Aichi Prefecture has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to murder his 16-year-old former girlfriend.

According to police, the suspect stabbed the girl at her home in Kitanagoya at around 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Fuji TV reported. Police said the boy then went outside looking for a phone to call the authorities.

One passerby said that the boy asked for a phone so he could call police. However, after seeing the boy's clothes covered in blood, the passerby called 110 on his behalf.

The girl was stabbed 12 times in the face and abdomen, but her injuries are not life-threatening, police said Thursday.

The boy was quoted by police as saying he stabbed the girl out of rage after she refused his request to get back together.

Please lock this psycho away from women. He'll probably end up killing someone someday just like he tried to today.

I can just see the cops: "Sure, we've all been there and all...."

Adult children....id love to see a case study of how this adult-child was raised and then used a model of do's and donts.

I just broke up with a nutty girl. Wouldn't have been surprised it this kinda thing came my way.

…she might even surprise me in a dark alley one night. (jeezy peeps!)

We read about this kinda thing regularly on here. Usually guys as in this case but sometimes girls too. Where I come from folk just usually break up and thats the end of it.

Different here though…wonder why?

I am sure after this heartfelt romantic reply she will consider your request.

Oh I'm sure you have similar incidents wherever you're from, whether you realize it or not.

Over-protective mother and absent/abusive father most likely. When the father is absent/abusive, mothers make their son Husband 2.0 (the hubby version they can manipulate more easily). These "little kings" just become "high-chair tyrants" when they are older. Women can usually process their own complex emotions, but when they imprint this complexity on their sons, the sons sometimes can't handle it and lash out (masculine response to feminine imbalance).

Another one? I'm afraid more child care facilities are not going to fix the declining birth rate with so many of the incidents. Women are remaining single because there are so many male nutters around.

One passerby said that the boy asked for a phone so he could call police.

And the Fuji TV's short video clip said that the boy also walked into a nearby nursing-care facility and asked a woman staff to let him use the phone when he said he'd drunk sake and stabbed the girl. At any rate, it was good for the girl to have escaped death.

As a single mother, I highly resent your insinuations. My son is none of the above...

Little psycho. I am not surprised she tried to break up with him.

I'm sure too. But not as often as here. As I'm sure you know too well.

Too much pride not enough emotional control/understanding. Another case of "if i cant have you , then no one can".

The girl was stabbed TWELVE TIMES in the FACE and ABDOMEN, but her injuries are NOT-LIFE THREATENING

Scarred for life, maybe damaged her ability to have children.

I would call that LIFE THREATENING injuries...

Earth calling Japan, you have a problem!!

17-year-old teen arrested

This raises the question: is there such a thing as a 17-year-old non-teen?

Commenters, taking a wager here, how many years you bet he will get?

I bet he gets 2 years suspended.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Yeah as he's already told witnesses the golden alibi, "was drunk", I'd say he gets five years until he lets on that he was feeling stressed, then they'll let him off with a stern warning

I'd say he gets five years

I would advice to get a background check before getting married, you never know, your future husband was a stabbing psycho when he was 17.

He is 17, so.... the predictable slap on the wrist for this sociopath. Expect the usual ridiculous sentence from the Japanese court.

young love, he really wanted the beat...or rather his heart...just went about it wrong..but many foreigners do not understand Japan and try to make the country's laws fit them...I say get out Japan and take your thoughts with you..this is Japan the door swings both ways, there are flights leaving the country everyday...This young boy will learn from his mistake no doubt about it...
