move along folks, there's nothing to see here. Japanese taxi driver killed by a fellow Japanese, no big deal. just another senseless murder no one other than immediate family members or acquaintances to worry about. no group of people to condemn. nothing to protest against. nothing to recall. all forgotten in a day or two.

Another tragic murder of a poor taxi driver.

    And you may have noticed:-

No BS excuses coming from Japanese posters or fellow SDF members excusing the guy and claiming over-reaction and the murderer confessing to his crime straight up.

Kick the SDF out of Japan!!!!! Oh wait...

  • CMEANDU26 at 08:09 AM JST - 23rd April

He is 19. He knows that he will not go to jail. He will get a slap on the wrist and they will let him go.

    I completely agree with northlondon!

Perhaps I was unclear. No one called foul once the suspect had been officially named, as in this case. Up to that point people were indeed speculating and discussing possible explanations for the circumstances of the crime. That is completely different. BTW, how do you feel about the J Media not releasing the name of this SDF suspect on the grounds that he is still legally a minor when they do so without hesitation when the suspect is a US service member who is under 20? Is that not a double standard?

  • northlondon at 12:28 PM JST - 23rd April

    USN,

I agree. Anyone who is a serviceman should be treated as an adult (and their name published). If they have that rule for Japanese then it should be transparent.

    Did this ever happen?

This will be forgotten about just as all the other crimes committed by Japanese on Japanese. Whatever!

What was the motive robbery? Throw the book at this POS there is no excuse.

Gotta love it. A week's gone by since this crime was reported and not another word out of the media. I know the suspect's not an Amerian but how about an update Kyodo? Hmm?
