19-year-old arrested for rape after threatening victim on cell phone

Police on Thursday arrested a 19-year-old man for allegedly raping a high school student after first threatening her with a cell phone message. According to police, the suspect, who cannot be named because he is a minor, sent the girl a text message that said: “If you don’t want to die, do what I say.”

Police said the incident occurred on Oct 26. The accused reportedly stood behind the girl in an elevator in a Katsushika Ward apartment building and showed her the screen of his mobile phone displaying the threatening message. He then ordered her to his apartment where he allegedly raped her. There were other residents in the elevator and corridor at the time, but no one did anything because the girl was too frightened to call for help, police quoted her as saying.

The suspect has admitted to the charge. Police believe he may have assaulted other girls based on several reports of similar incidents in the area in October and November.

Its been proven over and over again that letting these so called "minors" go into society again, they continue to commit more crimes and many times, there crimes turn into something very violent resulting in innocent people being victims. The laws are crap! I was just reading about a few murdered Japanese victims on Wikipedia. Many of the murderers are walking right around us today in the open. Now this annoys me, he is old enough to know what is right and what is wrong, he should be charged as an adult. This will definitely encourage nation of devious individuals "underage" to completely take advantage of this chance of the lifetime opportunity to do whatever they want sexually and get away with it. I guess laws are written to protect all the criminals they can cover, of course all murderers, rapists, sick bastards all have their right in to inflict pain of their surrounding and to have the state feed them for the rest of their lives when caught. This kind of law is a comedy farce....
