Group arrested for throwing 500 eggs at cars rearrested for arson

Two brothers, aged 21 and 18, as well as a 19-year-old woman and 18-year-old man who were arrested for throwing eggs from a bridge at cars on the Tomei Expressway in Hatano, Kanagawa Prefecture last November, have been rearrested on suspicion of arson.

According to police, the four are suspected of torching a vacant house in Yamakita last May, Sankei Shimbun reported.

The brothers and the woman have denied the arson charge; however, the 18-year-old man has admitted to it, saying all four set the house on fire.

The four were initially arrested for throwing eggs at cars coming in their direction from the bridge early in the morning of Sept 20 and again at around 10 p.m. on the same day.

According to police, a total of 54 cars suffered damage, including broken windshields, in the two incidents.

Police - who had been notified in the morning — were on the lookout that night and found one of the suspects about 1.5 kilometers away from the bridge with eggs in the pockets of his pants. Police said the group stole some of the eggs from a supermarket.

One of the boys was quoted by police as saying they got a kick out of seeing the surprised look on drivers’ faces when they got out of their cars after being hit with the eggs.

They obviously know nothing about physics, because those eggs became weapons.

If this is Japan's youth, it's probably better they don't marry and have kids of their own...

12 year olds might throw eggs at cars. 21 year olds who do it have something seriously wrong with them, like having the emotional development of a 12 year old for a start.

Who counted the eggs ? They stole "some" of them from the supermarket !

Idle hands are the devil's workshop. They need a hobby.

No! They need to be put to work doing some heavy labour on a sustainable farm so they can appreciate the value of food and constructive human endeavour and can pay back for the emotional and financial harm they have caused others.

Maybe they can open up a tamagoyaki stand.

Now look who has egg on their faces?

have they also been charged with theft and criminal damage?

Too bad none of them will probably see any prison time, while the owners of the cars will probably have to fork up the money to pay for the damages done by these stooges

@Burning Bush

I agree, making license plates in jail sound like a good idea to me.

How old? And throwing eggs! Delinquents the lot of them. So they decided to take their bad ass attitude to the next level and commit arson. Getting kicks seeing people's reactions. Would like to see the look see their reaction when they actually get kick. I have more sympathy for the wasted eggs and burnt down place than these wastes of space.
