Two women were attacked by a man in separate incidents, while walking home in Hiroshima, police said Thursday.
According to police, the first incident occurred in Nishi Ward at around 1 a.m. Wednesday. Sankei Shimbun reported that an 18-year-old part-time convenience store worker was walking home when a man came up from behind, grabbed her and stole her handbag containing 6,000 yen in cash and a smartphone. The man then fled.
About 45 minutes later, two kilometers away, a 25-year-old woman on her way home was grabbed from behind by a man who groped the lower half of her body.
Police said the two women were shaken but not injured, and believe the same man was responsible for both attacks. He is described as being in his 20s or early 30s, 170 cms tall, of medium build and wearing black.

I'm with ur comment 100%- These gals (wheather 5 yrs. old or older) need to be taught how to srtike the chest, nose, eyes, carotid artery and other sensitive parts when subject to sexual perverted crimes.

People, usually men, have commented before on JT that it is safe to walk around at night alone. Fine examples of why I always say Japan is not nearly as safe fro women as many would like to believe. I hope these women are okay. The trauma they will carry with them over this is horrible.

Japan should adopt Singapore system of sexual crimes punishment ... at that time it will be safe for a women to walk any time day and night.
