Police in Yokohama have arrested a 22-year-old man for stabbing his parents at their home on Friday afternoon.
According to police, a man called 119 just after 5 p.m., saying he had stabbed his parents at their apartment in Isogo Ward, TV Asahi reported. Police rushed to the scene and found the suspect's 52-year-old father and his 47-year-old mother bleeding from knife wounds. The father is in a stable condition but the mother remains unconscious, police said.
The suspect, who was arrested at the scene, has admitted attacking his parents but has so far given no motive, police said.
Police said the suspect and his older brother lived at the apartment together with their parents.

Gee, I hope his parents recover, and he expresses regret for this crime. Perhaps the judge will be lenient so the family can move on from this.

@Julius - Obviously you've studied up on the Japanese society if you think being at home at 22 is cause for concern. That fits quite well within the societal norms here. And 25 years in prison for something you don't have all the information on? Good going, Sherlock!

@clickonthewhatnow, nature cannot be studied or controlled, it dictates its own course....22 years of age hanging around your mother for pocket money, watching her bathe and listening to them sleep fits quite well within the societal norms here? Japan needs more children, I wonder how one can make his own children right inside his mothers room. 18 years MOVE OUT. What more information or reason can one give for attempting to kill his parents? Lock up the scum for 30 years, 3 hot meals everyday.
