Hang him high, no endless appeals and other nonsense as in other places. Justice.

I remember this one - some chinpira punks roughed the guy up and made him promise to meet them later with some money. Guy shows up with a bunch of his buddies in tow and wreaks cold-blooded vengance.

why hang him? it was just garbage taking down garbage not innocent people getting hurt. Jail would have been enough.

  • Proffessor at 03:18 PM JST - 20th May

I would suggest he also gets buried alive.

If we're going for a death sentence that makes a statement, Proffessor has the right idea. A hanging seems like a cruel, but slightly irrelevant decision...

In this particular case, good and bad is not so clear. The guys he killed had been thugs who had been beating him up and extorting money from him, threatening with gang association. Turns out he had a few friends of his own and turned the tables on them. It is not like he killed some innocent bystanders off the street.

Definitely aggravating factors in play here...if he had just given the punks a good payback beating, most people would be calling him a hero for having the balls to stand up to extortion.

...and once upon a time they said Japan should abolish the death penalty.

Being beaten up and stuff doesn't give you the right to kill, especially not in such a brutal way... This made him sink to the same level as those thugs, or even deeper. Deserves what he gets.

I think the burying them alive was a very extreme action taken. If the guy flet like his life was in danger he should have thought it out more carefully as to his options that didn't involve murder. Very sad; another wasted life. This was a very cruel way to die. The courts did justice here.

stoned to death would be a better punishment for this guy..

  • 1proudamerican at 04:33 AM JST - 22nd May

life in prison would be best, that way he can regret his actions for the rest of his life.

  • Gloobey at 07:50 AM JST - 22nd May

Time to get on board with the majority of the civilised world and drop this whole death sentence nonsense, don7t you think...?

  • ManofJustice at 12:26 PM JST - 22nd May

we don't live in a tribal society, you can't go around taking justice into your own hands. If that were the case, then I'd be sure to carry a gun or sword.... anyway, life in prison is stupid, waste of tax payers money and a great place for that person to get a free meal and play cards and read books all day... not bad of a life..

  • SaikoStar at 08:05 PM JST - 25th May

death sentences are the same as murder. judge is playing god to decide who is to life and who is to death? it is only a 23 year old man... way too young.
