Time for a bit of a sing along, come on everybody: "If I had a hammer, I'd hammer in the morning......"

Hard tune to play on a blunt instrument! Ban the sale of hammers?

We don't know the real circumstances behind the incident, but must consider what could have instigated the young man to have so much animosity towards his father.

The title of the article says a hammer, but the article says he may have used a 1 meter wooden pole. Which was it?

    Both, I think.

I'm a little confused - I was told Japan was a culture where family ties are extremely important, where elders are respected and revered and harmony and unity persists in all groups and areas.

But the news just isn't adding up to this these days....

Lucky father and unlucky son. Father should turn around and chop off his head. A son shouldn't do this to his own father. It doesn't matter what instrum, ent he was using on his father we do not treat our fathers that way but with respect!!! What was the reason to hit his father, for money, drugs or booze? I wonder what jurors will think of that??? They will need time to think over cup of coffee with judge.

This is shocking, very shocking behaviour indeed - he will go straight to Hell after death - before that he'll live in hellfire like situation for the rest of his living days.

  • Den Den at 09:05 PM JST - 4th June

Polarmalik, I don't think he will be suffering hellfire, rather the opposite. I am sure he feels relieved to get this out of his system, whatever stress his father gave him.

Following that logic I should be able to push my brother in front a bus for borrowing my lawn mower and not refilling the gas, but only if I got really stressed because of it of course.
