3 cats found mutilated to death in Ehime park

Police in Niihama, Ehime Prefecture, are investigating the mutilation deaths of three cats whose bodies were left in a park. Two were found dead in February, and the third was found on Saturday.

Fuji TV quoted police as saying that in all three cases, the cats' heads had been bashed in and their legs broken.

Police also said that last December, a severed cat tail was discovered in the same park.

Sounds like the start of another sick, twisted young Japanese boy well on his way to become an idiot killer like in Kawshiwa, Chiba! Do hope they can stop this idiot fool before he goes on and hurts any HUMANS!

Very disturbing news....

A serial killer in the making...

Yeah, let's trot out the well established parable that likes animal mutilation to the next Ted Bundy, I reckon nobody has heard such things before. Issues of progression to killing humans aside, doing some mogies down the local park is equally repulsive. Let's just hope the cops catch the person/people responsible.

Isn't it a proven fact that most killers started out torturing and killing animals before they advanced to human beings?

"Isn't it a proven fact that most killers started out torturing and killing animals before they advanced to human beings?" @CrazyJoe. Yes, it's been well documented that all serial killers who have been captured and observed at some time tortured animals before selecting people as their victims.

Sick! another serial killer in training?

3 ( +3 / -0 )

It's news like this that spoils my day! Nothing is more cowardish than harming weaker beings, human or animal.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Somebody better hold me back if I ever see someone doing something like this especially to my favorite animal.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Sick sick sick.

They are only doing what cats do to an average of three small animals a day. Yes cats mutilate and do not eat about 20 small animals a weak. But we love them anyway. And this jerk should have his arms ripped off for acting like a cat and not a human!

That's beyond mindless killing, it's clearly someone deeply deranged. Find this person NOW, before they graduate to small dogs and then who knows what else. Clearly has no empathy or compassion.

In the whole 3 years she's been alive, my cat has killed and eaten a total of two (2) small animals, both of them large insects (a cockroach and a cricket) that flew in through an open window. The rest of the time she limits herself to performing open-heart surgery on her stuffed toys.

Yes, it's clearly someone deranged. It would be equally deranged if it were a small dog, large dog, crow, badger, horse, cow, anything.

I hope they find whoever is doing this, lock him up and throw away the key.

Yeah, let's trot out the well established parable that likes animal mutilation to the next Ted Bundy

I don't know who "Ted Bundy" is but I DO know about SAKAKIBARA who started killing small animals and finished up by sticking the head of a small boy - that he had severed) on a gate post in Kobé several years ago. He was still a child himself at the time. Believe it or not, that is exactly how it starts...

This was a painful article to read. Whoever did this is a monster who will soon turn on people.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

And it gets reported only now.

Well who knows if he will actually become a serial killer or not, but very highly likely he will go on to become some kind of sadist and really hurtfully bully people, become a rapist, or rob and injure for fun. Generally this kind of torture escalates, as it seems to in this person, starting with a tail a few months ago. Look out. Perfectly possible he will kill eventually.

David Foley (and Cleo) Yes, cats do do a lot of killing. (Cleo you have perhaps just not been there when yours did, as even well fed indoor cats have the instincts and will do so when opportunity arises). But I would not say this guy is acting like a cat!! That's an insult to cats. Animals never ever hurt, maim, or kill for the pleasure of inflicting pain. Sure they get excited by the hunt, but this is a survival instinct, and not pleasure at another's misfortune.

Far as I know we have the distinction of being the only beings in the animal world to do that kind of crazy stuff.

Another/more nutters on the loose. And this is just nasty.

"Find this person NOW, before they graduate to small dogs"

Dogs are higher than cats?

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Just for the record, I love cats and have taken in one and raised her and her babies. They are little night ninjas and wreak havoc on a lot of smaller creatures, but I still love them and think the jerk who did this is in need of some serious mental help.

If you've ever lived in the inaka, you might have seen that a lot of kids do things like blow up live frogs and throw them against walls so they splatter. I've even known parents show them how to do it. So what can you expect from the kids?

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Cleo you have perhaps just not been there when yours did, as even well fed indoor cats have the instincts and will do so when opportunity arises

The opportunity doesn't arise as she's an indoor cat and always has been, and the interior of our home is not populated with random wildlife. Her instincts are taken care of with her wobbly/squeaky toys and stuffed toys hanging from a fishing-pole thingy.

we have the distinction of being the only beings in the animal world to do that kind of crazy stuff

Yes.

I live in the inaka and if I ever saw some little brat doing anything like that I would ....educate him.

Probably started off pulling wings off dragonflies, then killing mice and hamsters before graduating to cats. Needs to be stopped.

Hongotafeinmate:

Alas, that is not a parable, that is a well-established fact. It is very typical for homicidal sociopaths to start with small animals and move on to bigger ones and finally humans.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

How can someone do that to a cat!?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

I recall reading Jeffrey Dahmer started his distorted escapades killing small animals.

Cat owners. Please keep them inside. Cats are VERY effective predators and further disrupt the indigenous species. They don't only catch mice.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Better cats than humans, ( I don't like animal cruelty ) but i hope they catch this guy before he tries his hand at people.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

They should setup cameras in the park , because as many have already mentioned, this person is disturbed and can step his game as soon as cat-killing starts to become a bore for him.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Ugh, this is ridiculous. Like, seriously?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

This is a despicable act, not only for me since I'm a Cat Lover but because it is done on small animals, it could be cats, hamsters, dogs, etc.

But I wondered why no one posted the hypothesis that it could be a gang doing this and not only 1 person, I hope they catch them

1 ( +1 / -0 )

JoiceRojo, Who knows? It could be a team I guess. But I think the preferred method for sociopaths is to work alone. For obvious reasons, maybe.
