Three masked men robbed a love hotel in Chiba on Sunday morning, getting away with about 180,000 yen.

According to police, the robbery occurred at around 3:30 a.m. at the hotel in Oamishirasato. Fuji TV reported that the three men, wearing ski masks, entered the hotel, which looks like a castle. They went up to the second-floor office and threatened the 76-year-old owner and three employees on duty with knives and a broken beer bottle, and demanded "kane, kane kane" (money, money, money), police said.

The owner handed over about 180,000 yen and the three men ran outside and got away in a car. No one was injured in the incident.

Police said they are analyzing street surveillance camera footage to try and identify the car.

not much of a payoff. High risk low reward crime there. Idiots.

A broken beer bottle? What, they're so poor they couldn't afford another knife?

This shows Love Hotel business in Japan not going well. No more profitable business.

You act like this was a year's earnings or something. The owner just handed over money that was there, not his entire life savings.

They must have seen this coming.

Isn't every Love Hotel has glass window? Everyone can hide inside and locked the door, while calling police.

thats about £1300, so between 3 of them that not much each, but if your desperate, its a fortune, but if this establishment is owned by the yaks, is it going to worth the pain that they are going to suffer when they catch up with them?

with knives and a broken beer bottle

All the trademarks of thugs from Glasgow.

and demanded “kane, kane kane”

Are they sure? I suspect one of the thugs said to another, "Speak Japanese, ya bam!", and he replied, "Cannae, cannae, cannae."

but if this establishment is owned by the yaks

The Yakuza don't own these small businesses normally , it's the Yakuza thugs who feed off them for protection money. Peanuts ?

The owner is wise in giving only 180000.....
