Three suspicious fires were reported within a 90-minute period Sunday morning in Tokyo's Setagaya Ward, in what police said were likely arson cases.
According to police, the first fire occurred at 2 a.m. NTV reported that a first floor apartment in a building in Sangenjaya caught fire after a bicycle on a stairwell was set alight.
About 20 minutes later, a shop that sells bicycles in the neighborhood was torched, but the fire failed to do much damage. In the third incident, one hour later, cardboard boxes stacked outside a third-floor apartment nearby were set on fire.
No one was injured in any of the fires. Police said they are examining street surveillance camera footage to try and identify anybody acting suspiciously in the area.

Seems that he/she discovered that cardboard boxes are easier to burn than bicycles.
