45-year-old man arrested for strangling 67-year-old mother in Saitama

Police on Thursday arrested a 45-year-old man for strangling his 67-year-old mother at their home in Kawaguchi City, Saitama Prefecture.

Shinichi Kameda was arrested for allegedly strangling his mother Riyoko at around 3:30 p.m. He turned himself in at a local police station about one hour later, telling police officers that he had killed his mother.

Kameda was quoted by police as saying, “She has been bedridden due to illness.” The two lived together, according to police.

lol, well, if all u do is read the media then of course you're gonna think saitama is crazy. I doubt any of you live here. 4.5 years here and never once seen anything "crazy". I was just stating that #$%& is crazy, not specific to Saitama. I said its a common thing as a joke. I have been there and its a great place, its just JT always has something involving a crime/murder and its Saitama, Osaka, random other places. Its sunny down here as well....

Actually, no. If he doesn´t have a family and she is in bad health, why not? Could happen anywhere. Strangling her because she is bed-ridden is the part that raises eyebrows.

kill the mother who raised you and nursed you through all your sicknesses is the natural thing to do 0__o in the west we have the nasty habit of putting our elders in retirement homes, but at least that is better than killing them when they become troublesome
