Police in Choshi City, Chiba Prefecture, have arrested a 47-year-old construction worker on suspicion of stealing two pairs of women's underwear from a coin laundry.

According to police, the suspect, Masaaki Nakauchi, was observed committing the crime on the morning of June 14 by the establishment's proprietor, a woman in her 40s, Yahoo News reported Thursday.

Police searched Nakauchi's apartment and confiscated 43 pairs of stockings and underwear.

Nakauchi was quoted as saying that he had stolen the underwear to wear them himself because it excited him.

Now he's really got his knickers in a twist!

he had stolen the underwear to wear them himself because it excited him.

I wonder if his sentence will include a psych evaluation. There is something seriously wrong with this loon.

Only 43 pairs? How standards have fallen. I still remember the chap years ago who was literally hoarding female knickers by the thousands. Apparently had a room with glass display cases and all.

The only thing he did wrong was steal them. If he had bought them he would still be running around wearing them and getting excited. He is a very sick man!

There are a couple of coin launderettes in my neighborhood. Whenever I walk by them, I always take a peak through the window to see if there are any guys inside trying to steal underwear.

Isn't "coil laundry" Japanese English. When I studied in the states, my roommates called them "laundromats".

Better to have a gf or wife and get up in her underwear anytime he wants , the legal way.

I have seen many young women putting their laundry in the dryer for 20 or 30 min and leave them unattended for few hours in the machine with no care of the next users , some shops provide baskets so that next user can empty the dry laundry of the nonsense careless people who occupy the machine for few hours. For sure that man is one of the frustrated chaps who empty the machine and got what he like out of the dryer.

another nutter on the loose

Come on it's not only men who do this. If the male is handsome and sexy , and the timing and place is correct women will do the same thing and steal his underwear. Am I wrong?

If he had bought them he would still be running around wearing them...

Given Japan's obsession with all things cross dressing, he'd probably be a regular on variety TV shows....

""something seriously wrong"? "counselling"? "a few pages stuck together"? "very sick man"? "nutter on the loose"? was he arrested for theft? or his erotic proclivities?

Yeah, the problem here is the stealing, mostly, cause if he bought it, I guess it'd ll be ok. I mean, if some guy wears female underwear, people say he's sick. But if he goes under the knife to get sex reassignment surgery and claims that he's a female now, he may get the cover of Vanity Fair!
