This reads like an Onion article. How much police resources were spent on this anti-crime crusade?

Since they're "distributin'" it in the first place,I still say they can make more money flyin' into Malaysia over a long weekend and really cash in.

-Sellin' it to their dorm buds and gettin' busted for it ain't so smart.

According to the investigation, two of the five allegedly possessed about 0.3 gram of dried plant material Hmmmmmmm I wonder where i've seen these exact words before??? Three possibilities: 1. The police are falsifying information, 2. The drugs were kept from a previous incident in order to frame students, 3. The snowboarders and sumo elite of Japan have the same dealer.

If it's good the little folk ain't allowed to have it. How dare they presume to feel good? Only the rich and criminals are allowed that.

I used to party at a friend's house in Gumma Ken. You didn't need to puff yourself. You would get high just from the ambience. Had the cops shown up there would have been a whole lotta deportations to U.S., NZ, Australia, England and Canada.

Id imagine foreigners must be involved in this in some way, its the only explaination. Rather than getting messed up in this evil dope nonsense, these kids should be doing more wholesome things like getting smashed every night on Shochu in hostess bars before vomiting and or urinating on the public. Stupid potheads.

Here's an interesting article from today's AAP network.

    • Cannabis is less harmful than alcohol or tobacco, according to a report by a British research charity, which called for a "serious rethink" of drug policy.

The Beckley Foundation, a charity which numbers senior British and other academics among its advisers, said banning cannabis has no impact on supply and turns users into criminals.

"Although cannabis can have a negative impact on health, including mental health, in terms of relative harms it is considerably less harmful than alcohol or tobacco," says the report by the Foundation's Global Cannabis Commission.

    • Remembering that, Japan has 24/7 access to alcohol, which can be consumed anywhere and at anytime by anybody over 20 years old. Is pot really such a problem in Japan or would alcohol be a bigger problem?
  • Osakadaz at 11:27 AM JST - 3rd October

like,no way Hosei!! really...there are bigger problems in Japan than a bit of weed.

Nothing is new when we hear about drugs. Students all over the world are the same; they just can't take anymore discipline for themselves. University should implement 'drug testing,' not only on students but lecturers also.

University should implement 'drug testing,' not only on students but lecturers also.

Spoken like a true overboard authoritarian. University students and lecturers can harm no one but themselves with drugs, and that includes alcohol, one of the most common drugs in the world along with caffeine and nicotine.

In fact, drugs may enhance performance, and since this is not an Olympic competition, that is ok. It is their bodies, not yours. Try to remember your place, mkay? --Cirroc

Marijuana is a plant, and it is preferable to tobacco and alcohol. Who stands to lose money if marijuana is made legal? You need to ask yourselves questions, be aware. If i want to smoke a leaf, i will.
