The disparity in sentencing in Japan is unconscionable. They want six months for this guy, while a whack up side of the head with a rolled up newspaper is what he needs. Tsutsumi, former head of Seibu who almost collapsed the Tokyo stock exchange, gets a few years of house arrest and a suspended sentence. He's at home sipping cognac and smoking cubans. Defies belief.

Libertas, couldn't agree more. This judge must've done something to p*ss these prosecutors off.

Either way, I don't think he should lose his career over it either. We all make mistakes and have those moments we wish we could erase from our lives.

‘‘What are you doing now?’’ and ‘‘Have you already bathed?’’ while another said, ‘‘Wash your body clean—I will come to meet you.’’

What...@$#! I thought these were all acceptable pick up lines used by JN guys... Jez....what's a JN guy to do these days....?

mondovermatter: it's one guy, relax and try not to stereotype the entire nation with comments made by a nutbag, where are YOU from anyway and how similar are you to the nutbags from there?

He's not stereotyping at all...in fact, he's perfectly on the ball with those comments! J guys ask the most stupid things when trying to chat up girls but that's only because they only have no sense of morality.

I met a girl the other day who told me her job is 'Morality Sensei' but her biggest problem is 'No one knows how to think for themselves'.

    End of argument really...

Initially. Hopefully, this case will serve as a deterrent.

The fact of the matter is this guy was a Judge and his civic duty is to uphold the highest standards of morality. He failed to do so with sexual harassment in his workplace and should be made an example of. I'm so sick of reading stories about the Police, Judges and other public officials with low moral standards in this country. It's time that they be given harsh sentencing to send a message that YES, they do have a civil responsibility to have better moral judgement than the average Joe. Of course he has human needs just like anyone else, but when the girl rejected his first advance, he should have stopped. I'm proud of this girl for standing up and filing a complaint. Something more woman need to do in this male chauvinistic society.

‘‘Wash your body clean—I will come to meet you.’’

Still one of the funniest lines I have ever read.
