72-year-old woman found strangled in apartment in Kawasaki

A 72-year-old woman was found strangled in a futon in her apartment in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, on Wednesday. The victim’s husband is missing, police said Thursday.

The body of Junko Lee was found by a caregiver around 5 p.m. when he visited her. According to police, Lee had been strangled. Her husband, Masaaki Yoshimura, 68, has been missing since Wednesday morning.
