Absolutely disgusting. And he shows no remorse whatsoever. Too bad he's 73 -- I doubt he'll rot in jail long enough for justice to be served before he dies of old age anyway.

Thank goodness the bus driver took initiative. It's hard to capture something like this on tape, you've got to aim the camera right beforehand but keep it concealed. Then you have to start the tape running every morning and hope it catches the perpetrator that day. We don't know how frequently this happened, probably not every day. So the driver was essentially running a stake out, at the same time demoralized asking himself why he's still at this job. Fortunately he got it done in the end.

The manager who tried to silence the driver needs to be interrogated and charged if at all possible. If only the driver had a tape recorder at the time, but seeing as how he was threatened the first time I don't blame him for not trying to get it again - he'd have been fired and then people would claim he was just disgruntled and only seeking revenge with the tape. The irony.

but when he spoke to the management of the company that operated the bus – Toto Kanko Bus - he was asked how he felt about not working for them anymore.

Wonder what will happen to the company. Let me guess. Say its regrettable. Bow at 45 degrees on TV. Maybe get some suspended sentences.

There are two definitions of pedophile, legal and psychological. I was employing the psychological. You are employing the legal. But it makes no sense to employ the legal one as it is not used that way in Japan.

I wonder if the part about the bus company is true. perhaps the driver was working with the old man and filming everything for sale but the bus company found his hidden camera and rumbled their game.

The driver then cooked up a defense story for the police when the bus company confronted him. The company itself has issued no statement because their lawyers are going to destroy both these pervs in court.

I would have thought that the driver could have just gone down the end of the bus and thrown the old guy out the door if his story is true rather than set up an elaborate sting.

Something is not right here.

Its not a joke to me either. But if this were a 14 year old male and a female of about 40 (face it, males have longer shelf life) what sort of comments do you think would grace this board? Assumptions about the feelings of the male would go COMPLETELY the other way. Yet, I find males and females sometimes have the same feelings, and you do not know which by assuming.

If a forty year old woman was arested for groping a mentally disabled 14 year old boy over a period of 8 months, you'd find the comments exactly the same: horror that an adult could take advantage of a vunerable child in such a way, and anger that the bus company would do nothing about it.

At least, that's how normal people would react.

victim's parents should sue 73 yr old man if he is independetly wealthy.

they should also emotionally support the bus driver when he files grievance if the bus company fires him.

Just a question: how did the newspaper get the police transcript of what he said to them? His statement sounds too stupid to have been uttered publicly with his consent.

This doesn't make sense considering the time frame, and the number of people which must take the bus each day. Maybe they just thought it was the shooting of another kinky film. But shouldn't somebody notice that an ancient man is molesting a girl who must obviously be so handicapped that she can't run away?
