In Japan his career is over and he possibly will be charged with murder if it turns out the woman was an OD. I personally didn't know you could get addicted to ectasy, thought it was like acid, scrambles your brain but you don't get addicted to it.
ecstacy + sex + overdose + naked, dead woman + phonecall to incompetent personal assistant + impending divorce from hot, young wife + leaving 1-year old son high & dry + being personally attacked by gaijins on JT + high-5ing and fist-pumping all azabu police station = manabu oshio
His hands were shaking because he was wondering if he'd be able to pull off the best scene of his acting career.
"The dead girl made me do it. I had no idea what i'd taken."
Sad truth is, if he sticks to this story, and sticks hard, any decent lawyer should be able to get him through in reasonable shape.
If they cannot find proof that the drugs were his to begn with, they really have no case.
Abandining a soon to be dead ODing woman is quite likely not a criminal act in Japan - especially if you're a married male celebrity.
mittsu-Journal of Psychopharmacology in January 2009 that ecstasy use compared favorably with horse riding in terms of risk, leading to around 50 deaths a year compared to about 100 from horse riding.
Dumb stat. The number of people using ecsstasy is much higher than the number of people riding horses. We need a figure for death per instances of x use vs. death per instances of horse rides.
Do you any of you know anything whatsoever about Ecstacy? It is a very soft drug and you would need a lot of it to OD. 5 or so at least.Totally non addictive.Fries your brains but thats about all.
Having lived in the Ecstasy capital of the world, the UK, I witnessed a few things in the night club scene about it. Subsequently, at the time, I did some research and these are some common facts:
Physically non addictive, but anything can be mentally addictive.
Uses up your body's serotonin levels, which are finite. Thus, prolonged use can cause depression.
Causes you to have the mental state of a child.
Deaths are very rare - you can die from both dehydration and over hydration. Over hydration occurs because the user is paranoid and drinks too much water to try to compensate, thus flushing the body of all nutrients.
Alcohol and this drug will increase risks of dehydration for obvious reasons.
Long term effects are debatable, dehydration is the most immediate risk; sometimes kids literally dance themselves to death. I didn't know about the over-hydration risk...
Complications from overheating, often alongside heavy alcohol consumption, is the most common cause of death. However, drinking too much water in an attempt to stay 'safe' is more dangerous. Some, often inexperienced, users have died after drinking as much water as they physically could. In one reported case, a user died after drinking 26 pints of water in a short space of time. The excess water causes the brain to swell inside the skull, which puts pressure on the brain stem and leads to coma and death.
If that woman had gotten sick, it could have been over-hydration, overheating, having mixed substances...just about anything. We will likely see that story soon enough. Poor gal. Shouldn't have been doing the drugs, yes, but Oshio should have been man enough to at least call an ambulance for her before high-tailing it.

It seems it is definitely safer than alcohol, which is a cause of one in 25 deaths worldwide and one in seven in the former Soviet Union countries.
Death can occur after taking ecstasy as a result of dehydration, not, as someone wrote, over-hydration.

It's sad how some commenters says that the girl deserved it: a bastard that runs away and leave a person die alone should end his days in jail...

Yes, there is an over-hydration risk:
If that woman had gotten sick, it could have been over-hydration, overheating, having mixed substances...just about anything. We will likely see that story soon enough. Poor gal. Shouldn't have been doing the drugs, yes, but Oshio should have been man enough to at least call an ambulance for her before high-tailing it.

Why do guys with seemingly everything going for them need to get "higher" on life?
biglittleman at 05:19 PM JST - 8th August
Who is the woman that died?
Makkun70 at 12:43 PM JST - 10th August
Yeah, why no names, is she famous too I wonder? That would explain a lot. Who is she?
