Why are non-working men always tagged "unemployed" when busted for something, but non-working women get to be "home helpers" or "housewives"?

Why do the police always arrest 'on suspicion' of something totally not related to the damn crime? Even the loon in Akihabara was arrested on 'suspicion' of assault and not for murder!

    Youdontknow,

its all lost in translation. it means the same thing as if it happened in your country.

This is getting boring. It seems that with every day there is some clown making a new threat. The police really have to act to stamp this out once and for all. Instead of slapping these clowns across the wrist, the cops need to adopt a policy of EXTREME malice in handling the arrest of such people. A couple of "deaths in custody" seem to be in order.

I would say that accused must be watching a lot of bad movies and DVS's. Adn now who to believe? This is like gambling in Casino. Word against word. Pehaps he was only angry. Again the same question: 'Catch me if you can?' I'm sure that school is not allowed to give any information to anyone about their students. Is this man on drgs or is he a boozer? From where does he get the money, he is unemployed?

    BBLeo:

" I would say that accused must be watching a lot of bad movies and DVS's. "

All it takes is to watch normal TV. There, the loons learn that mass murder makes them famous.

the J-cops need to learn how to use the media in their favor. Show people getting busted for making stupid threats and have the media say "if you do such a stupid thing the police will be after you, too." The media in the US uses scare tactics to control, but usually show the police shown getting their suspect. The image of the J-cop has to change from lazy box-sitter to "we always get the bad guy"..and soon. Media cooperation is the best method to get this done.

There are a lot of people with anger issues aren't there?

saintseiya? [spread fear and tighten stupid regulations, . . . . Sad society, I am still waiting for the big "Boom" in the j-gov and gov. institutions to go off and purge all theses old farts with their 16. century philosophy . . . ]

how are the j-gov't spreading fear? and what regulations did they 'tighten'? Keep waiting for that big boom. What is the 16th century thinking?

This man uttered threats against children and rightly deserves to be punished for uttering threats. I don't know which is 'more bad', immature japanese males or your 'thinking' on this matter.

I'm with TIMORBORDER on this one. Its starting to get out of hand, just last week a girl made a similar threat....what has happened in her case....these slaps on the wrist are not doing anything to prevent another IDIOT from acting on his/her words.

You miss understand the context! Akiba happened only a few days ago, if you would! That imbecile now threatens to kill children in a school. In the EU (which isn't the paradise at all) at least you get right, left, green politicians, speaking open about society issues, calling out on peoples, through TV, Radio, Internet, newspapers ex . . . . as they are the only peeps that have the power to trigger what ever change needed to keep such freaks off from going in to action . And there is at least a wide discussing on the issue in the EU, because many countries have more divers parties then only right and extreme right in japan! This society problems have been on the EU for years and I am happy that some nice politicians fought for peoples rights in the last 30 years. That's why being workless, being useless isn't regarded so much degradent, as it is the case in japan . . . producing thausends of Katos every where!

The j-gov will trigger the fear option in favor of a complex open discussion that would need to change party status and would let them loose hardliner voters. The UN-council , mainly EU-members, gave about 200points to the J-gov. to drop the death penalty in order to open a wide discussion as it happened long time ago in the EU . . . the reply was a thine arrgument of japan needing to intimidate right now , in difficult times, futher barbars with the penalty . . . just plain wrong!
